A mostly videoblog, sometimes photoblog where I post clips about everything under the sun. Music, movies, random daily moments, stuff about food I eat and hikes I go on.
My day job is doing build and release engineering for Mozilla. I graduated from Toronto's Seneca College with a degree in Software Development in 2009. My spare time involves teaching anything I have learned about systems, programming, media, web development and anything to do with the open web to anyone who want to learn. When I'm not by a computer I'm making films & videos, running, hiking, swimming, playing hockey, walking the dog, cooking or otherwise trying to pack a lot into a busy life.
I've been thinking a lot about this whole idea of "mainstream" and alternative to mainstream because of this book The Rebel Sell - about how the so-called mainstream - which should shun the alternative and be threatened by it, is actually so quick to incorporate and absorb it and so maybe that idea of the web thing - the development - comes in to play there - like how they keep building condos farther and farther west - in cool "alternative" colours - and all the weirdos keep shifting north and east - fixing up the homes of the people who have shifted to the suburbs - or retirement homes.
